AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy is hellbent on having three capitals, Visakhapatnam, Kurnool, and Amaravathi. Had corona not been in the country, by this time, the capital would have been shifted to Visakhapatnam.
Many expected Jagan to change his mind following 200 days of ongoing protests from Amaravathi farmers and with Botsa Satyanarayana inspecting Amaravathi buildings and Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy saying that one cannot tell anything about the capital.
However, all those are turning out to be false. Inside talk is Jagan is keen to turn Visakhapatnam as the capital in a silent manner and many important departments have been silently shifting. However, it has been decided to complete the process in a silent manner as they would face protests from Amaravathi farmers, opposition TDP, Jana Sena, Communists, and other Workers Unions.
Apart from it, government sources are facing a lack of funds. Expectations increase among Visakhapatnam people and the supporters of three capitals when Jagan is shifting the capital to Visakhapatnam though few constructions have been completed in Amaravathi. But the government is not having any money as all the funds have been spent on developmental activities. To raise funds they have to auction government properties or get debts for the capital. So the government is shifting to Visakhapatnam in a silent manner.
