Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s fans as well as all the movie lovers across the country have been eagerly waiting for the film ‘Hari Hara Veeramallu’. Pawan Kalyan plays the role of a warrior who fights for righteousness. This period drama, produced by A. Dayakar Rao under the banner of Mega Surya Productions with a huge budget and presented by renowned producer A.M. Ratnam, is directed by A.M. Jyothi Krishna and Krish Jagarlamudi. Nidhi Agarwal and Bobby Deol play important roles.

There are huge expectations on the film ‘Hari Hara Veeramallu’. The promotional images and songs that have already been released have received a special response. Especially with the recently released trailer, the expectations on the film have doubled. July 24 is something special day for Power Star Pawan Kalyan. Twenty-seven years ago, the film ‘Tholiprema’ was released on this day and achieved huge success. ‘Tholiprema’ has recorded a success that surpasses the three films that have come before it.

On the same day, this year’s ‘Harihara Veeramallu’ was released. Now Pawan Kalyan is not just a star hero… he is also a public representative. More than that, he is the Deputy CM of AP. Apart from that, he has gained a lot of recognition as a person who has been working hard for the protection of Hindu Dharma for some time now. Pawan Kalyan’s film means satisfying both fans and general audiences; on the one hand, party workers and on the other hand, Hindutva advocates.

Pawan Kalyan’s film is bound to have huge expectations. Even if he compares his films less with the films of other star heroes for the sake of modesty… fans do not accept it. Pawan Kalyan’s films ‘Khushi, Jalsa, Gabbar Singh, Attarintiki Daredi’ were industry hits at that time. However… for the past some time, Pawan Kalyan has been riding a pair of horses on both politics and films. Due to this, he has not been able to focus fully on acting. The same thing happened in the case of the film ‘Harihara Veeramallu’, which started almost five years ago.

After assuming the responsibilities of the Deputy CM, he was given dates in a tight position and somehow completed it. In this context, it is natural that there are various doubts about ‘Harihara Veeramallu’. Moreover, there are doubts about how much justice Jyothikrishna, who took over the project after director Krish walked out of it, will do this story justice. However… the makers have succeeded in making the movie not to be missed until the ending once it is released in the theater.

The anticipation of the fans who have been waiting for Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Harihara Veeramallu’ for several years has come to an end. This film produced by A. M. Ratnam came before the audience today (24 July-2025). And to what extent did Pawan Kalyan overcome this big and multiple task.. to what extent did he please both the fans.. and the audience as ‘Harihara Veeramallu’.. let’s find out..

Going into the story.. this ‘Harihara Veeramallu’ is a story from the 7th century. A baby boy who was washed up in the Krishna River is rescued by the people of Gudem and given to a priest in a Shiva temple. He names the child Harihara Veeramallu. Veeramallu, who grows up, robs the nobles and helps the needy. When the British are transporting diamonds found in Kollur on the banks of the Krishna River to their country, Veeramallu stops them at the Machilipatnam port and gives them a lesson.

The nobleman, learning about his adventures, befriends him. Veeramallu, who leaves for Golconda Fort as per the nobleman’s request, impresses the Nawab with his bravery. With that, Tanisha asks him to bring the Kohinoor diamond that was with the Delhi King Aurangzeb. Veeramallu, who felt that bringing back the Kohinoor diamond from Telugu soil was more about self-respect than love for the Nawab, agrees to do so.

How did his journey from Hyderabad to Delhi go? What were the obstacles he faced in the way? How did Veeramallu become a lion’s dream for the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, who had imposed a tax of jizya on Hindus to live? That is the rest of the story. What is the hidden meaning behind Veeramallu’s actions that resemble Robin Hood? How did Veeramallu react to the attacks on Hinduism? How did he become a protector of religion? The underlying scenes like this are worth watching on screen.

Analysis: The entire film revolves around Veeramallu’s struggle. When viewed in that way, it can be said that this is a visual feast for Pawan Kalyan fans. Some of the dialogues coming from Pawan Kalyan, who is currently in the political arena, are inspiring the Jana Sena activists. It was interesting to see how Veeramallu brought the atrocities committed by the nobles against the lower classes, the atrocities of the Qutub Shahis who robbed them, and the Mughal emperor who wanted to take them under his wing.

The story, which begins on the banks of the Krishna River, reaches Delhi via Hyderabad. The religious attacks on Hindus across the country in those days were also depicted in context. In fact, there is no place for a heroine in Veeramallu’s success story. However, in order to impress the general audience, the role of Panchami was introduced, thinking from a commercial angle. Some other characters were also created to cultivate humor. But none of them were very impressive.

The twist given before the break regarding Panchami’s character is unbelievable. Similarly, the way Veeramallu deals with the wild animals is also goosebumps-inducing! However.. the extensive story, huge cast, high technical values… none of these could penetrate the depths of the mind and make an impact. There is a feeling that something went wrong somewhere in the cooking that someone started… and someone else finished it.

Who did it… We can see in every frame that Pawan Kalyan did not make this film as a ticket grant. It is clear that Pawan participated in the shooting with great commitment even when he did not have a moment of leisure. Especially, he provided the choreography for the fight in the climax. Nidhi Agarwal looked beautiful on screen as Panchami. Since the shooting took place for years, she was even plump in some scenes. Bobby Deol played Aurangzeb, Sachin Khedekar as Chinna Dora, and Dilip Tahil as Tanisha. Kota Srinivasa Rao made a guest appearance as the Pedda Dora. Sathyaraj, Eswarirao, Murali Sharma, Raghubabu, Sunil, Nihar Kapoor, Subbaraju, Nassar, Kabir Bedi, Bharani, Kabir Duhan Singh and others played other roles. Along with these, many more will be seen in this.

Technically speaking, Oscar winner M. M. Keeravani has brought ‘Harihara Veeramallu’ to life not only with his vocals but also with the background music. The song ‘Tara Tara..’ captivated the mass audience; the song ‘Kollagotti Naduro’, shot on Anasuya and Pujitha Ponnada, is sure to fill the youth with enthusiasm. The song ‘Maata Vinali…’ sung by Pawan Kalyan will make the fans whistle. Some background songs have also been included to elevate the scenes. Gnanasekhar and Manoj Paramahansa have displayed their cinematography silks well.

Thota Tarani has made wonderful sets for this film. The fight scenes are sure to be appreciated by the mass audience. Overall, if you think Veeramallu will show dots to the tyrannical Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, then postponing it to the second part is a bit disappointing. However, producers A. M. The efforts of Ratnam, Dayakar Rao, and director Jyothikrishna cannot be underestimated. It can be said for sure that ‘Harihara Veeramallu’ will satisfy Power Star fans, Hindutva advocates, and Jana Sainiks.
