Telangana CM KCR may fire on PM Modi when it comes to implementation of various welfare schemes. He boasts his government set a trend in the country for other states to follow.
Similarly PM Modi claims that he has taken many developmental schemes for the benefit of the poor. However what many donot know is both Modi and KCR are pinching together.
Both centre and state started insurance for farmers without anyone demanding for it but when it comes to premium, the governments are showing stars.
Telangana farmers grew various crops during the favourable season. Many started farming due to corona. So agricultural activity picked up. However the incessant rains gave them huge shock.
Under disasters, insurance come as a face saver. However farmers who are under the impression that insurance would save them got a huge shock. They came to know that the government didnot pay the insurance premium. Prime Minister’s Fasal Bheema Yojana used to support farmers.
While farmers are required to pay nominal premium, Union and State governments bear the remaining. However recently Union Government slashed 50% of the premium it has to pay. It passed an order that it will pay 25% where water facility is good and 30% where water facility is not there. This burdens the state government.
