DL Ravindra Reddy Still Wary of Joining YCP

The only senior  leader and former minister who is quite uncertain of his future political plans is DL Ravidra Reddy of Kaddapa district. DL as he is known among the people of the district has been inactive in politics ever since the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

A five-term MLA and a former minister, he is one of those  few leaders who chose political hibernation following the division of the state. Former chief minister N Kirankumar Reddy, who also went underground after 2014, recetly rejoined Congress. But, DL, who was health minister in previous Congress government, is not able to decide which side he should tilt, TDP or YCP or emrgent Pawan.

Though there have been reports  DL is all set to join the YSR Congress, and YCP supremo has promised him to field from Mydukur constituency, there is no confirmation  from YCP.

However, sources close to him told TeluguRajyam that DL is closely watching the fluid political situation in Andhra Pradesh and he would take a final call when there is some modicum of clarity. “The shape of politics of Andhra is bound to undergo drastic changes in next couple of months. The talk of TDP and Congress alliance, Jagan’s relationship with BJP, entry of Pawan and his possible alliance with BJP or Jagan  etc  are expected to change the colour of politics. He will take few more months to arrive at a final decision,” said a close aide of DL Ravindra Reddy and added that he DL had open invitation from all major parties.
