The poll day is soon approaching in Telangana. Almost every star campaigner is busy touring the state, to maximise their chances on December 7. Every opposition party is targeting the TRS government and its failure to keep up with the promises.
However, more than the Congress party, Chandrababu Naidu alone seems to be the main rival for caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. In all his recent roadshows and public meetings, KCR mainly highlighted Chandrababu Naidu and the unholy alliance of TDP and Congress. KCR went on to say that if Mahakootami comes to the power, it will be Chandrababu Naidu who will rule the state from Amaravati.
TDP is part of Mahakootami, contesting only for 13 seats. It would surprise many on how will Chandrababu Naidu be in a position to command the alliance when his party is only confined to a few seats. Notwithstanding the logic, KCR seems to be focusing only on spreading the ideology of ‘differences between Andhra and Telangana’ through Chandrababu…a step taken in a bad taste. It is high time that KCR stops politicizing the division between two states, even after the formation of Telangana.
On the other hand, Chandrababu Naidu responded strongly against the Telangana CM’s remarks. The TDP Supremo questioned KCR on how did he hinder Telangana’s development, through a series of tweets. “Did I stop you from offering 3-acres of land to Dalits, Have I said a word when you backtracked on making a Dalit as the Chief Minister?. Please answer me on how did I stop Telangana’s development?”, Chandrababu wrote on Twitter.
He further added that KCR must answer on what key developments he had accomplished by forcing early polls and thereby, wasting public money.
