In a sudden turn of events, an unfortunate incident occurred during a public meeting organized by the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP). The incident took place in Battulavari Gudem, Nuzividu Mandal, Eluru, where the party had organized the “Bavishattuki Guarantee” program.
The meeting took a dramatic turn when the stage on which party leaders and activists were seated collapsed unexpectedly, causing minor injuries to several individuals. Former minister Nimmakayala Chinnarajappa was addressing a large gathering when strong gusts of wind hit the stage, leading to its collapse.
The sudden collapse created chaos and panic among the attendees. Approximately ten people, including Chinnarajappa and TDP leaders Chintamaneni Prabhakar and Pitala Sujatha, fell as a result, sustaining minor injuries. The incident prompted an immediate response from emergency services, who quickly arrived at the scene.
The injured individuals were swiftly transported to a nearby hospital in Nuzvid for necessary medical treatment. This unfortunate incident serves as a reminder of the need for careful consideration of safety measures during public gatherings to prevent such accidents from occurring in the future.
