The Malayalam film industry is reeling from a tragic loss as 35-year-old actress Renjusha Menon was discovered deceased by suicide at her residence in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Her passing has left her family, friends, and fans in shock.
Renjusha, who resided with her husband Manoj, also an actor, had reportedly been struggling with financial difficulties in the recent months leading up to her untimely demise. The Sreekariyam Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.
What drew the attention of her fans was her last social media post on October 16, in which she wrote, “Sleep is my only comfort, then I’m not sad, not angry, I’m not alone, I’m nothing.”
Renjusha initially embarked on her career as a TV show anchor before transitioning to TV serials, where she left her mark with “Sthree” and various other projects. She gained recognition for her supporting roles in both television shows and films, including “City of God,” “Marykkundoru Kunjaadu,” and “Bombay March.”
This unfortunate incident follows the recent suicide of another Malayalam actor, Aparna Nair, shedding light on the critical need for increased awareness of mental health issues and support within the industry.
