In the aftermath of Pawan Kalyan’s tour to Vishakapatnam, Chandra Babu Naidu met Pawan Kalyan at Novotel hotel, to express his solidarity with Janasena president Pawan Kalyan.
In the joint press conference, Chandra Babu and Pawan Kalyan mentioned that the unifying force behind their meeting was to save democracy. Under YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s rule, they alleged that human rights and democratic rights were snatched away and Jagan behaved like Hitler.
So far so good. Both the parties, TDP and Janasena parties have their establishment in Telangana. TDP calls itself a national party. However, the parties did not bother commenting on the Moinabad incident where TRS legislators were bribed to shift their loyalties to BJP.
It is not sure if Babu and Kalyan consider bribing MLAs as also part of saving democracy. There is a reason for Babu to view it that way. Chandra Babu’s Party was the first one to be exposed while trying to bribe Stephenson an MLC from Telangana. He continued this trade by admitting 23 legislators from YSRCP and making four of them his cabinet colleagues.
So going by the no-comment strategy of TDP and Janasena on the Moinabad incident, it is very clear they are working hard to save “democracy” only in Andhra Pradesh.
