Will Jagan and KCR follow Kejriwal?

Delhi: Different states are following different strategies to control corona virus and also revive the economy.  There is no denying the fact that the corona virus and the subsequent lock down impacted all sectors bringing everything to a standstill. Under these circumstances while some states are following strict lock down measures to control corona virus giving first and utmost importance to the lives of the people, few states started relaxing norms and started permitting industrial activities to revive the economy.

In the meantime, all eyes are on AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy and Telangana CM KCR and whether they will follow Delhi Chief Minister Aravind Kejriwal. Everyone knows that Kejirwal is extremely popular among the people of Delhi and his AAP swept the polls with a resounding majority in the recent assembly elections.

Delhi witnessed more than 3000 coronavirus positive cases but CM Kejriwal speaking to scribes said lock down must be removed. He said the three stage lock down served its purpose effectively and now it is time to revive the economy. He also announced his plan to permit opening of shops and business establishments except in the Red zones. He however came with the plan of odd and even days to reduce thronging of people after the removal of lock down.

Under these circumstances, many economists and experts are praising Kejriwal’s strategy to revive the economy and lift the lock down and start the activities in a normal manner. AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy who advocated red, green and orange zones, however remained silent but only allowed the opening of liquor shops. Many feel this is a bad idea as it will result in breaking of lock down norms. Telangana CM KCR is hell bent on stricter lock down measures till corona virus cases minimise. Wonder for how long KCR and Jagan continue with the lock down.
