BJP has brought in their youth leader Tejasvi Surya to campaign for the party in the forthcoming GHMC elections. Buoyed by the success of the Dubbaka elections, BJP is sending to Hyderabad all its top leaders including Prakash Javadekar, Tejasvi Surya not to mention the saffron party’s star campaigners Saina Nehwal and Gautam Gambhir.
But it seems Hyderabadis are in no mood to welcome Tejasvi Surya which is evident by trends on social media. Hyderabadis seem to have taken a cue from the Tamilians regarding abusive Hashtags. #Den**yTejasviSurya trends ahead of the Bengaluru South MP’s visit to Hyderabad to campaign for the BJP at Serilingampally for the GHMC Elections 2020.
Before his arrival in the city, Tejasvi Surya in his tweet mentioned Hyderabad as Bhagyanagar, which for some reeked of divisive politics. Many sentiments are attached with the name ‘Hyderabad’ and that is also a reason why the Hyderabadi Netizens are just not in a mood to welcome the BJP scion.
Upon his arrival, BJP Yuva Morcha leader Tejasvi Surya launched a no-holds-barred attack against the TRS and AIMIM. He termed KCR’s rule in Telangana as a family rule while stating that KCR wanted to turn Hyderabad into Istanbul. He called Asaduddin Owaisi an avatar of Jinnah.
