Looks like the cracks are slowly surfacing in the ruling YSRCP Party. It has been sixteen months since the party came into power. The inside talk is that many leaders in the party are unhappy with the government or their leader YS Jagan for their own reasons.
A story of one such disgruntled leader is being floated around in the media circles. Ongole Parliament member Mr. Magunta Sreenivasula Reddy, apparently is not active in the party or government programs. He is also not moving closely with the party MLA’s or the district minister, who was responsible for Magunta’s entry into YSRCP.
Magunta family hails from a business family. They have been in the liquor business for quite some time. The family owns a liquor factory in Singarayakonda, an assembly headquarter in the Ongole district.
The ever-changing liquor policy of the state government is having a severe effect on the MP’s business. Apparently, the liquor produced in the Singarayakonda factory is not being sold in Andhra Pradesh. The MP is unable to either express his displeasure publicly on the matter or is unable to hide his disappointment.
Having noticed this, the local MLAs don’t want to take sides and are staying away from the MP till the matter is settled with the chief minister.
