Considering the majority that TRS received during the recently concluded assembly election, it is a no-brainer to say that KCR does not need other leaders to join his party for the next 5 years. But, the Telangana CM is thinking otherwise.
Reportedly, the Telangana Chief Minister is targeting the existence of TDP in the State…irked by the participation of Chandrababu during the election campaigning. Even after the elections, KCR made several personal remarks against Babu reiterating a ‘return gift’ for his involvement in Telangana elections. And in that direction, KCR appears to be working on wiping out TDP from the State. It is evident from the recent interaction of TRS leaders with the two TDP MLAs Sandra Venkata Veeraiah and Matcha Nageswara Rao who won from Sathupally and Aswaraopet seats respectively.
Sources said that Sandra is in favour of joining TRS after the ruling party assured him of ‘safe zone’ in the vote for note case and a key position in the party. If all goes as intended, KCR is planning to merge Telangana TDP into TRS and wipe out the party completely. The move seems to be a personal vendetta from K Chandrasekhar Rao than a political one.
