After being away from the Telugu film Industry for a while, mimicry artist and Comedian Venu Madhav made headlines today with his nomination from Kodad Assembly constituency. Venu Madhav filed his nomination as an independent candidate from Kodad, his hometown.
The 38-years-old comedian came into the limelight with his mimicry skills and went on to give several programs before establishing himself as a comedian in the TFI. Venu Madhav and his family enjoy good political connectivity with Telugu Desam right from the beginning and the actor even actively participated in TDP programs in the recent time.
However, with TDP losing Kodad constituency as part of the Mahakootami, Venu Madhav had no other options but to contest as an independent. Sources said that the comedian did not get a positive response from BJP and Congress too.
Though Venu Madhav was once a noted comedian, his unofficial leave from the Silverscreen might not add up to his popularity for the general election. Analysts are of the view that Venu Madhav might get some valuable votes as his family holds key political ties in Kodad, which in turn may affect the battle between Mahakootami and TRS.
