KCR’s Absence Adds Drama To Modi’s Telangana Visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to tour Telangana tomorrow, starting with his arrival in Hyderabad on Saturday morning, followed by a visit to Warangal. During his visit, PM Modi will participate in several groundbreaking ceremonies for development projects.

However, the BRS party has announced its decision to boycott PM Modi’s visit, reiterating the likelihood that Telangana Chief Minister KCR will not extend a welcome to the Prime Minister. KT Rama Rao, the Working President of the BRS party, expressed their stance, highlighting the party’s intention to distance itself from PM Modi’s tour.

KTR raised concerns about the alleged disparity between Telangana and Gujarat in terms of developmental projects. He cited examples such as Gujarat being granted a railway coach factory worth Rs 20,000 crore, while Telangana received a project worth only Rs 520 crore. KTR questioned why Telangana consistently receives what he considers to be unfavorable treatment from the BJP and the NDA government, emphasizing the absence of support for medical colleges and the diversion of proposed projects to Gujarat.

KTR also accused Telangana PCC chief Revanth Reddy of having RSS connections and criticized him for not criticizing PM Modi’s lack of support for the progressive state. KTR argued that both national parties, the BJP and Congress, have failed and are unjustly blaming the BRS party, which claims to prioritize the interests of the people.
