During a recent press event for the upcoming film “Kaatera,” Kannada superstar Darshan dismissed concerns regarding competition from Prabhas’ “Salaar,” scheduled for release a week earlier. Confidently asserting his stance, Darshan stated, “I’m not bothered about Salaar or any other films. They should be the ones concerned. My film is a pure Kannada creation, not one of those pan-India films becoming common nowadays. I believe my Kannada audience will wholeheartedly support my film.”
As the release date for “Kaatera” nears, Darshan and the cast have been strictly instructed to keep all details about the film under wraps. Directed by Tharun Kishore Sudhir, “Kaatera” delves into a 70s-era story revolving around a real-life incident involving farmers. Darshan emphasized the film’s balance between commercial elements and a content-rich narrative. Moreover, the movie marks the debut of veteran actress Malashree’s daughter, Aradhanaa, and is set to hit screens on December 29.
