The success of director Venu Yeldandi’s debut film, Balagam, has been marred by an unexpected turn of events. Just as the film’s team was basking in the glory of its critical acclaim and box office success, a group of MPTCs from Ibrahimpatnam mandal, Jagityal district, have reportedly filed a complaint against the director.
They claim that Venu has portrayed MPTCs in a derogatory manner in certain scenes of the film. This shocking development has left the Balagam movie team taken aback, while Venu is yet to respond to the allegations. It’s worth noting that Balagam, featuring Priyadarshi and Kavya Kalyanram in lead roles, has grossed nearly Rs 50 crore at the box office worldwide and received praise from top Tollywood stars. Dil Raju’s daughter, Hanshita Reddy, produced the movie.
