The election season has kicked off in Karnataka, with voting scheduled for May 10th. As the state election commission ramps up efforts to curb unlawful activities, they have made a significant seizure today – a car belonging to renowned Bollywood producer, Boney Kapoor.
According to reports, officials were conducting routine checks on Hebbal road in Bengaluru when they stopped a BMW car carrying a large quantity of silver ornaments. The occupants were unable to produce the necessary documentation for the silver goods, leading to the confiscation of 66 KGs of silver items, including spoons, plates, and other valuables, worth approximately Rs 39 lakhs.
Further investigation revealed that the car in question was registered under Bayview Productions, Boney Kapoor’s production company. As a result, both the car and its driver are currently in police custody.
The incident has raised questions about the connection between the Karnataka elections and Boney Kapoor’s car being used to transport valuable items without proper documentation. It remains to be seen what further developments will arise from this event.
