A grandson of NT Ramarao is all set to join YSR Congress.
Daggubati Hitesh, son BJP national leader Daggubati Purandeswari and former minister Venkateswar Rao is expected to take plunge into politics in the new year. With father becoming inactive and mother Purandeswari reaching dead-end with BJP, Hithes thinks the right option to flourish in politics is the vibrant YSR Congress.
Both Purandeswari and Venkateswara Rao have been on warpath with Telugu Desam Party now led by Chandrababu Naidu, another son-in-law of of NTR. So, his joining TDP is ruled out.
Purandeswari is an eleder daughter of late NTR Ramarao, the founder of Telugu Desam Party. Both Purandeswari and Daggubati are known sympathisers of YS Jaganmohan Reddy and have always been critical of Chandrababu Naidu’s government.
The couple wants Hitesh to contest from Parchur Assembly Constituency from Prakasam district. But its not clearly known if Jagan offered the ticket to Hithesh as it is now represented by YSRCP MLA Sambasivarao. Rao has already started campaign for 2019 elections hoping that party would not ditch incumbemt MLAs.
Sources, however, said Daggubati family is confident that Jagan would accommodate Hitesh in one seat or the other if not Parchur in the district. If party sources are to be believed Hitesh is waiting for the date from Jagan to join the party.
