A couple of weeks ago, Tirupati sitting MP Balli Durgaprasad Rao passed away due to Covid-19. Hence, Loksabha by-polls are certain to happen for the parliamentary seat in the next month.
Meanwhile, on Friday, the ruling YSRCP announced that Dr Gurumurthy, who is Jagan’s personal physiotherapist is their candidate for the MP by-elections. Not to disappoint Balli Durgaprasad Rao’s family members, Jagan promised MLC seat to Durgaprasad Rao’s son Balli Kalyan. Regarding the same, minister Botsa Satyanarayana released a statement to the press.
Soon after the news came out, the opposite TDP started targetting Jagan and his backtracking politics as he is the one who decided to cancel Legislative Council a year ago and even tried to pass a bill on it in the council.
Not only from the opposition parties but Jagan’s decision of giving MLC seat to Balli Kalyan just to satisfy his personal staff and close coterie been receiving negative feedback from all quarters also.
