The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has once again established clear dominance. It has now won the Nizamabad by-election with a huge majority. TRS got a clear upper hand in the first round.
Both the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which have dealt a heavy blow to the Opposition, have lost deposits.
With this, KCR’s daughter Kalvakuntla Kavitha became a dynamic leader with a major comeback. It may be recalled that Kavitha lost the Nizamabad Lok Sabha elections in the 2019 general elections. She has kept a low profile in party politics ever since.
Once again, Kavitha achieved a huge majority and made an amazing re-entry. She is ready to get the victory certificate from the election officials. This put an end to the rumors that Kavitha had not re-entered active politics.
The victory came at a time when the BJP and TDP were challenging their strengths at the field level.
