After making her debut in the south, Sridevi later moved to Hindi cinema and became the first female superstar in India. Later, she started ignoring south movies and was too choosy about south movies.
While she was reigning as the female superstar, Chiranjeevi was making his way to stardom in Telugu. Director A Kondanda Ramireddy and writer Yandamuri Veerendranath have decided to make a movie with both Sridevi and Chiranjeevi. As the movie will be produced by Sridevi, Chiranjeevi has given an immediate nod.
Over 20 scripts have been narrated to both of them but both were not convinced as some stories had Sridevi’s domination and some Chiranjeevi’s. With both Sridevi and Chiranjeevi going for egos the movie got shelved after shooting a song. The movie was titled Vajralal Donga. While everyone thought they would never pair up, Chiranjeevi and Sridevi came together for the Jagadekaveerudu Athiloka Sundari movie which was a sensational hit in the 90s. Later, they acted together in SP Parasuram which was a flop and it was Sridevi’s last movie in Telugu.
