Nayanatara Apologizes

Nayanthara found herself in the midst of controversy with her recent film “Annapoorani,” which drew criticism from various Hindu associations. The outrage escalated to the extent that demands for a ban on the film led to the registration of an FIR against Nayanthara and the Annapoorani team. Taking to her Instagram page, the actress issued an apology.

Beginning with the words “Jai Shriram,” Nayanthara’s post acknowledged the unintentional hurt caused in their sincere attempt to share a positive message. Expressing surprise at the removal of a previously censored film from the OTT platform, Nayanthara clarified that neither she nor her team intended to offend anyone’s sentiments. She emphasized her strong belief in God and frequent visits to temples across the country, stating that intentionally causing distress was the last thing on her mind.

In her apology, Nayanthara extended sincere and heartfelt apologies to those whose feelings were touched, highlighting that the team’s intention behind “Annapoorani” was to uplift and inspire, not to cause any distress. The actress, who has a lineup of several Tamil films, is also reportedly in talks for various Hindi projects following the release of “Jawan.”
