Nayanthara’s 75th film, “Annapoorani,” faced challenges following its Netflix release last month. Ramesh Solanki, a former Shiva Sena leader, criticized the movie as Anti-Hindu, resulting in an FIR against the filmmakers.
Recently, Shriraj Nair, a leader from the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), also condemned the film for making derogatory comments about Lord Rama, portraying him as a meat eater. Nair warned Zee Studios, the production banner, demanding the immediate removal of the film from Netflix. In response, Zee Studios apologized to the VHP and took down the title from Netflix.
Now, fans of Nayanthara are curious about whether Netflix will release a new version of “Annapoorani” or not. The decision rests with the filmmakers.
