Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Nara Lokesh held a significant meeting with Catholic Bishops to discuss the state’s development agenda and social welfare initiatives. Sharing the update on his official X (Twitter) account, the Minister expressed his honor in hosting the delegation.
The discussion primarily centered on social empowerment and the vital role the Church can play in the progress of Andhra Pradesh. Minister Lokesh highlighted the need for collective efforts to uplift the underprivileged and ensure that the benefits of development reach every corner of the state.
During the meeting, the Bishops brought several points to the Minister’s attention.
Education: Strengthening the education system and the involvement of educational institutions run by the community.
Representation: Matters regarding the representation of the community in various state affairs.
Minister Lokesh responded positively, noting that the government values the input of all stakeholders in building a “Vikasit Andhra Pradesh.” He assured the delegation that the issues raised concerning education and representation would be given due consideration.
