The much-awaited Telugu film “Meter” starring Kiran Abbavaram and Athulya Ravi has hit the screens. The film is directed by Ramesh Kaduri and produced by Chiranjeevi (Cherry) and Hemalatha Pedamallu. Here is the review of the film:

Story:

Arjun Kalyan (Kiran Abbavaram) is a tough individual who doesn’t want to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a police officer. But circumstances lead him to become a Sub Inspector in Hyderabad. He tries to get himself suspended but ends up gaining a good reputation. He crosses paths with Home Minister Kantam Baireddy (Dhanush Pawan), and soon discovers a shocking truth. What does he do next? Watch the film to find out.

Plus Points:

Kiran Abbavaram, who plays the lead role, delivers a good performance with his action and comedy timing. He proves once again that he is a good dancer with his steps in the mass song. Dhanush Pawan as the villain is impressive and has a promising future. Posani Krishna Murali and Sapthagiri provide comic relief with their punch dialogues.

Minus Points:

The film suffers from a poorly written script that lacks engagement and entertainment. The story is routine, and the screenplay is illogical and predictable. Athulya Ravi’s character has nothing to do with the story, and the director should have focused more on the screenplay.

Verdict:

“Meter” is a mediocre police action drama that fails to impress due to its routine and predictable story. The film offers nothing new except for Kiran Abbavaram’s performance in an out-and-out mass role. Overall, the film can be skipped.
