The trailer of the sensational crime thriller ‘Aa Gang Rape 3’ has been officially released. Following the immense success of the viral short film ‘Aa Gang Rape’, which garnered over 45 million views on YouTube, and its critically acclaimed sequel ‘Aa Gang Rape 2’, the same team is now back with a gripping third installment. The film will soon be available for streaming on a major OTT platform.
Directed by Yogi Kumar, ‘Aa Gang Rape 3’ is said to be a deeply emotional and honest portrayal designed to resonate with viewers’ hearts. Yogi, whose previous feature film Love You Too was well-received on OTT, believes this film will establish him more firmly as a filmmaker. The lead roles are played by Naren Annasagaram and Preeti Sundar.
Produced by Noxious Nags under the banner of Sahachara Productions, the film features captivating visuals by cinematographer Nani Ainavalli, who has used a handheld filming style for added intensity. Editor Anil Kumar Jallu has maintained a tight pace and suspenseful mood throughout, enhancing the film’s tension. Background music, a major highlight of the film, is composed by Kabir Rafi—who previously won the SIIMA Short Film Award in 2017 and scored the Kannada hit Sugar Factory.
The film’s streaming platform and release date will be announced soon.
At the trailer launch event, actor and choreographer Aata Sandeep—who starred in Aa Gang Rape 2—shared his thoughts:
“The first film went viral, and I was a part of the second one, which was also a hit. I was offered a role in Aa Gang Rape 3, but I declined. I want to continue focusing on choreography. I didn’t feel comfortable taking on such a bold role. Though I didn’t act in this one, I have great friendship with the team. The trailer looks bold and powerful, and the director has addressed several pressing social issues. I sincerely hope the film finds success on OTT.”
Director Yogi Kumar also reflected on his journey: “My small attempt in 2015 unexpectedly went viral and brought me recognition. Aa Gang Rape 2 was also a success. A friend produced this film. The title Aa Gang Rape 3 already has good traction. The producer trusted me and invested heavily. This film, with a fresh concept, is set to be a blockbuster. It has many entertaining and impactful moments. Aata Sandeep acted in the first two films, but I didn’t want to cast him as a villain in this one—so I chose new actors.”
Producer Noxious Nags added: “The director’s vision is clearly reflected in the trailer. This film was made with a solid team. Yogi is a good friend, and I trusted him completely. Working with a new team, I grew very fond of the film throughout the production process. Every artist and technician gave their best. I am confident that this film will be a grand success.”
The event was attended by the cast and crew of the film, including Naren Annasagaram, Preeti Sundar, Sandeep Sandilya, Dayanand Reddy, and Mahipal.
