Fidaa, directed by Sekhar Kammula, emerged as the biggest hit in the filmmaker’s illustrious career. The movie captivated audiences with its engaging storyline, Telangana backdrop, and heartwarming romantic elements. The performances of Varun Tej and Sai Pallavi left movie lovers spellbound, while Shaktikanth Karthik’s music added to the film’s allure.
Interestingly, it has now come to light that Fidaa was initially conceived with Super Star Mahesh Babu and the enchanting beauty Deepika Padukone in mind. Renowned filmmaker Jayanth C Paranjee, in a conversation with journalists, disclosed that Sekhar Kammula had narrated the story to him when he was considering producing a film featuring Mahesh Babu.
According to Paranjee, Mahesh Babu was also highly impressed with the narration. However, the makers themselves reconsidered the decision, taking into account Mahesh Babu’s immense stardom. Paranjee revealed that he had plans to cast Mahesh Babu and Deepika Padukone as the lead pair, owing to his good rapport with the latter.
One can only imagine the magic that would have unfolded had Mahesh and Deepika come together for Fidaa under the direction of Sekhar Kammula.
