Kavitha’s Strategic Seat Change For The Election

With the upcoming elections approaching in Telangana, the political atmosphere is intensifying as major parties gear up for the contest. In the midst of this, there are speculations regarding the change of seats for Kalvakuntla Kavitha, the scion of the BRS party. Considering running in the Nizamabad urban constituency in the upcoming assembly elections is Kavitha, who previously lost from the Nizamabad parliamentary constituency.

Kavitha, who is currently an MLC, wants to return to the Telangana assembly as an MLA and leave her mark on the body. Sources suggest that she sees the Nizamabad urban MLA constituency as the ideal choice for her assembly stint. However, within the BRS party, there are differing opinions. Some party members believe that Kavitha should stick to the Nizamabad parliamentary constituency and use the opportunity to teach her rival, Dharmpauri Aravind, a lesson for his personal attacks on her in the recent past.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister KCR has assured his sitting MLAs that they will be given tickets for the upcoming election. This creates a potential dilemma for him as he would have to break his word to Ganesh Gupta, the current MLA from Nizamabad rural, in order to allocate the MLA ticket to Kavitha.

The decision on Kavitha’s candidacy and the possible reallocation of the MLA ticket for Nizamabad rural will ultimately rest with KCR. It remains to be seen whether he will uphold his promise to the sitting MLAs or make exceptions for Kavitha’s ambitions. As the political landscape evolves, all eyes are on the BRS party and its decisions in the run-up to the elections.
