Johnny Depp to earn $10 million for a scene from Warner Bros

Johnny Depp is one lucky chap or shall we say prudish. Thanks to a pay or play contract he had with the production house, Johnny Depp will get to make $10 million or so, according to Hollywood tabloids.

Johnny Depp as Gellert Grindelwald

Johnny Depp played Gellert Grindelwald in the first two installments of Fantastic Beasts. He also shot for a bit for the third installment, but he was ‘asked out’ by Warner Bros after a court in the UK had ruled Johnny Depp as a ‘wife-beater’.

The allegations came from his ex Amber Heard and the charges have proven to be true. Depp was to star in all the five installments of the film. However, due to being charged his role has been cut short abruptly.

There was a headline in the Sun newspaper that read, ‘How can JK Rowling be ‘genuinely happy’ casting wife beater Johnny Depp in the new Fantastic Beasts film?’ After this, Depp tried suing Sun, but the recent ruling has cost Depp his reputation, at least at this point in time.

Johnny Depp who plays a dark wizard in Fantastic Beasts was to have a role on par with that of Judi Dench, but now he will have to suffice with just one scene.

While Depp is confident that his career will not be at stake due to the current turn of events, the studios are however being reserved when it comes to those hounded by #Metoo allegations and those charged with domestic violence allegations.
