Tollywood actor Rajashekar and his wife Jeevitha have faced a significant setback as they have been sentenced to one year in jail. And fined Rs 5,000 by the 17th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s (ACMM) court in Nampally.
This ruling comes in response to a defamation case filed in 2011 by renowned film producer Allu Aravind. The couple was accused of making controversial statements about Chiranjeevi and making allegations regarding the sale of blood collected through Chiranjeevi’s Blood Bank from donors.
After a lengthy trial, the Nampally court has finally delivered its verdict. Rajashekar and Jeevitha paid the fine and have been granted bail, enabling them to appeal the decision.
