Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui has pulled up off a rare feat during the pandemic. It has become the first film during corona times to complete its shoot in a record two months.
The film began shooting in late October and the shooting was done at a stretch. The film stars Ayushmann Khurana and Vani Kapoor in the lead roles. It has been directed by Abhishek Kapoor.
The film as the title suggests is a romantic drama and has completed its shoot today. The film is being produced by T-Series and Guy in the Sky Pictures.
Ayushmann Khurana will be playing the role of a cross-functional athlete in the film, while Vaani Kapoor will play Maansi, who is a courageous, sensitive and fragile character, according the director Abhishek Kapoor.
Kapoor also shares that it was Ayushmann who suggested the film be shot in Chandigarh, which is a beautiful city. Incidentally, the city happens to be Ayushmann’s home town.
It is also the first time that Ayushmann and Vani Kapoor have come together and it is the first time that Vani Kapoor has done a film outside YRF banner.
Though no particular date has been set, the film will release in 2021.
