One series that is being promoted a lot on social media is AK vs AK. The promos are intriguing thanks to the lead actors and the plot of the series. The promos show director Anurag Kashyap and Anil Kapoor exchanging words and verbally abusing each other. As for the theme, Anurag Kashyap kidnaps Anil Kapoor’s daughter Sonam Kapoor and Anil Kapoor has to hunt for her.
So, in his role, Anil Kapoor is seen wearing an air force uniform and calling names, dancing and beating people. From the looks of it, it appears that Anil Kapoor is seen in the uniform for quite some time. The movie that has been made exclusively for NetFlix, has landed in a controversy, thanks to Anil Kapoor’s attire.
Upon noticing the same, the Indian Air Force has issued a notice to Netflix to withdraw some scenes for incorrect use of language and uniform.
In a social media message, the IAF said the uniform in the teaser was “inaccurately donned” and the language was also “inappropriate”, requesting NetFlix to withdraw the scenes. “The IAF uniform in the video is inaccurately donned & language used is inappropriate. This does not conform to the behavioural norms of those in the Armed Forces of India. The related scenes need to be withdrawn,” read the tweet.
Following this, NetFlix replied to IAF’s objections and tweeted its reply – “At no point does the film represent the Indian Air Force or our Armed Forces. We have nothing but the highest respect for the brave people protecting our nation.”
The film is being directed by Vikramaditya Motwani and will premier on Netflix on December 24.
