With crucial elections approaching rapidly, the Central Election Commission is already in motion, bringing clarity to the political landscape within three months. Amidst this critical time, every party’s cohesion becomes paramount. Particularly, the BRS leader and CM KCR, aspiring for a record-breaking third term in Telangana, faces unexpected challenges.
Despite maintaining a composed exterior, internal turmoil looms large as party members increasingly defect. The issue appears to stem from a growing list of individuals, primarily from the
influential Reddy Community, jumping ship. Nearly 30 constituencies witness a shift in Reddy community support away from the BRS. Additionally, other Community groups like Gowda also seem to be distancing themselves from the party.
The Congress party is closely watching these developments, with some members eagerly awaiting party leadership decisions and appointments. Surprisingly, CM KCR remains silent, prompting speculations about his approach to the situation. Some wonder if he doubts his strength or underestimates the impact of these departures. The list of defectors includes notable figures like Ex-MLAs Nemarugommula Sudhakar Rao, Venula Veeresham, Sunil Reddy, Thigala Krishna Reddy, MLC Kuchukulla Damodara Reddy, and Patnam Mahender Reddy.
Moreover, Gadwala ZP Chairperson Tirupatiah, Vikarabad ZP Chairperson Sunita Mahender Reddy, and former MLCs Kapilawai Dilip Kumar and Enugu Ravinder Reddy have also joined the exodus. As the exodus continues, BRS leader KCR’s passive stance raises questions about its implications for the party. The upcoming elections will undoubtedly be crucial in determining the outcome of these developments, and all eyes are on the unfolding political dynamics.
