The BRS party has been in power since the inception of Telangana, led by Chief Minister KCR. Despite their consecutive wins in two elections, they haven’t secured victories in 17 MLA seats across Telangana. Surprisingly, 10 of these seats are in Greater Hyderabad, while the other 7 are in the Khammam district.
Within Khammam district, BRS hasn’t clinched victories in Madhira, Sattupalli, Aswaraopeta, Bhadrachalm, Yellandu, Pinapaka, and Wyra constituencies. They’re now striving to win at least 5 out of these 7 seats in the upcoming election.
Similarly, in Greater Hyderabad, BRS hasn’t yet won Goshamahal, LB Nagar, and Maheshwaram constituencies. Notably, the party also hasn’t succeeded in securing its friendly party MLA segments like Nampally, Charminar, Chandrayanagutta, Karwan, Malakpet, Bahadurpura, and Yakutpura.
To enhance their chances, BRS has nominated Sabitha Indra Reddy from Maheshwaram and Sudheer Reddy from LB Nagar, anticipating victories in these constituencies. Additionally, in this election campaign, BRS has allocated 7 seats to MIM, while they themselves will contest in the remaining 112 seats.
