The renowned director James Cameron who directed some of the best movies in Hollywood like The Terminator series, Aliens, True Lies, Titanic, and Avatar is coming up with the second part of Avatar after a long gap of 13 years. Avatar, the lavishly mounted, ambitious movie was a visual spectacle that created a sensation at the box office back then.
Now, after close to a decade-and-half, the movie’s sequel Avatar 2 is all set for a grand release worldwide on 16th December 2022. Director James Cameron said that stakes are very high for this movie and the movie should collect a whopping $2 Billion to consider it to be a hit.
The world premiere of Avatar 2 was held in London and some of those who have watched the premiers have given their reviews.
“Happy to say Avatar: The Way of Water is phenomenal. Bigger, Better, and more emotional than Avatar 1” a review from a top Hollywood critic wrote.
“Never doubt James Cameron. He has raised the bar in terms of riveting storytelling and blockbuster VFX, CGI. The beauty of Pandora is breathtakingly beautiful.” “I’ve never seen anything like this on a cinema screen before. It’s beyond comprehensible on visual and technical standpoint. I’d miss the plot sometimes as I’m lost in the visual beauty of pandora.” Another reviewer wrote.
Though the early reviews are overwhelming and might boost the openings for the movie, it remains to be seen whether this movie would collect $2 Billion at the box office in its full run.
