Bollywood’s perfectionist Amir Khan landed in Anti India controversy after he met the First Lady of Turkey at the Huber Mansion in Istanbul, her presidential residence on India’s 74th Independence Day.
Amir Khan is currently in Turkey scouting for locations for his upcoming entertainer Laal Singh Chaddha, a remake of Hollywood hit Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks.
First Lady of Turkey Emine Erdogan posted “I had the great pleasure of meeting @aamir_khan, the world-renowned Indian actor, filmmaker, and director, in Istanbul. I was happy to learn that Aamir decided to wrap up the shooting of his latest movie ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ in different parts of Turkey. I look forward to it!”
Movie lovers are furious that Amir Khan chose not to wish Indians on Independence Day but also chose to meet First Lady of Turkey on the same day. This because Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has been repeatedly taking an anti-India stand and also Turkey started supporting Islamic fundamentalists group to create violence in India.
Turkey has been vehemently supporting Pakistan, China, and spoke against India’s interest in Kashmir. Movie lovers are now demanding the boycott of Amir Khan’s Lal Singh Chadda, branding Amir as anti-national. What antagonized them is Amir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan a few years back refused to meet Israel President Benjamin Netanyahu during his visit to India.
