Shakeela, a renowned adult actress from Malayalam cinema, has also made a name for herself in Tollywood. She has appeared in character roles in several popular films such as Jayam, Nijam, Dhool, and Kobbari Matta.
After a significant hiatus, Shakeela made a comeback through the Tamil reality show “Cooku With Comali” on Vijay TV. Her participation in the show earned her immense respect from fans, who affectionately refer to her as “Shakeela Amma.”
In a candid interview, she openly discussed her past life and the challenges she faced. Shakeela expressed, “There is a lot of misinformation about me. My Wikipedia page claims that I own a luxurious flat and a BMW car, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. I still live in a rented house.”
She also reflected on her past experiences and revealed how she selflessly gave all her earnings from adult films to her sister.
Shakeela shared, “I used to earn Rs. 4 lakhs per day. Such was my popularity. However, my sister took all my money, leaving me with nothing for myself.”
Currently, Shakeela is giving interviews on a popular YouTube channel, and she recently made headlines by discussing how Mollywood megastar Mammootty skillfully hindered the release of her movies.
She stated, “Despite being predominantly low-budget productions, my films posed strong competition even to those featuring superstars. I discovered that Malayalam actor Mammootty, who was not pleased with this, made it difficult for my movies to see the light of day. In fact, it was one of the reasons that led me to stop acting in Malayalam cinema.”
A few months ago, Shakeela also garnered attention when she participated in a protest alongside residents of a residential apartment in Chennai.
