L2E Grand Teaser Launch : Most Anticipated Malayalam Film Of The Year Arrives Soon

The most anticipated Malayalam movie of the year L2: Empuraan’s teaser launch took place on Sunday in Kochi. Mammootty, Mohanlal, Prithviraj, Murali Gopy, Manju Warrier, Tovino graced the occassion. The event also marked the debut of Lyca Productions in Malayalam Industry.

Manju Warrier who plays the character Priyadarshini Ramdas expressed her excitement for the film, “I do not even remember the number of films I have worked for Ashirvad Cinemas. Lucifer has one of my most memorable characters, Priyadarshini Ramdas. I hope people will love Empuraan just like they did for Lucifer.”

Tovino Thomas who shared the stage with Manju Warrier also shared his excitement ” During the narration of Lucifer Prithviraj had told me that my character would gain huge appluase from public and rightly so. As an artist, the character Jathin Ramdas gave me a huge visibility. I have huge hopes on Empuraan. In this film, I got a chance to share screen with Lalettan which did not happen in Lucifer which was also a great learning experience.”

The captain of the ship Prithviraj Sukumaran started off by thanking the legendary film makers who made it possible for bringing out the director inside. “Welcome to Malayalam Cinema, Lyca Productions. I hope Empuraan turns out to be a great entry point. I will have to talk about my brother, my producer Antony Perumbavoor. I thought there would be no one crazier than me about cinema but I was wrong. Antony backed the project from the start and stood with me throughout the project. “

Prithviraj spoke highly about Mohanlal “This whole thing would not have been possible if not for him. He stood with me more than as a star or as an actor. It might seem like a cliche statement but it’s not. There was an incident when I used to make him sit idle for one whole week due to the weather conditions. When I went to explain the situation, he said its completely okay and asked me to concentrate on film making.

The most awaited speech of Mohanlal concluded the event. “Thank you Lyca for joining hands with Aashirvad Cinemas.” Turning towards Prithviraj, Mohanlal said, “Prithviraj claimed that he was an accidental director but thats not the right word. You are the chosen one. I hope he becomes one of India’s best directors. Coming to Empuraan, we had to face a lot of obstacles. I had watched the film and Director Prithviraj has given his 100%”

Empuraan will arrive in theatres on March 27. The film promises to be a landmark for Malayalam Cinema.
