Tollywood cowboy, Telugu screen ‘Alluri’, Superstar Krishna (79) breathed his last at 4 am on Tuesday morning. Krishna suffered a cardiac arrest on Monday morning. He was immediately rushed to the Continental Hospital by family members. After that, doctors shifted him to the ICU and put him on a ventilator. They said that Krishna’s condition was serious. Within a few hours of what they said, Krishna’s health worsened and the doctors confirmed his death at 4 am on Tuesday.

Apart from problems due to age, he has no other health problems. But recently three family members whom he loved dearly Vijay Nirmala, his eldest son Ramesh Babu, and his first wife Indira Devi passed away. At the same time, his best friend rebel star Krishnam Raju ( Krishnam Raju) also left him and he became deeply depressed. These developments had a negative impact on his health as well.

Ghattamaneni Krishna has earned a place in the hearts of Telugu people with more than 350 films. Ghattamaneni was born as the first child of Raghavaiah Chaudhary and Nagaratnamma on May 31, 1943, in Burripalem village in the Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. Adiseshagiri Rao and Hanumantha Rao are Krishna’s brothers. Krishna-Indira Devi couple had 5 children. Ramesh Babu, Mahesh Babu, Padmavati, Manjula, Priyadarshini.

The eldest son Ramesh Babu began his career as an actor and later produced many films as a producer. His second son Mahesh Babu is one of the top heroes of Tollywood. Krishna has three daughters Padmavathi, Manjula, and Priyadharshini. Eldest daughter Padmavathi is the wife of Guntur MP Galla Jayadev. Currently, Manjula works as a director in the Tollywood industry. The third daughter Priyadarshani is the wife of hero Sudhir Babu.

Everyone remembers Krishna’s first film Thene Manasulu (1965). However, before that, he appeared in small roles in the films Kulagotra (1961), Padandi Munduku (1962), and Paruvu Pratishtalu (1963). After that, he was introduced to the silver screen as a full-fledged hero in the film Thene Manasulu (1965). He never looked back after that. On the silver screen, he has done several experiments and adventures and has achieved superstardom.

Apart from movies, Krishna also played a key role in politics for some years. In 1989, he contested as an MP on behalf of the Congress party and won. However, the political environment was not suitable for Krishna’s mentality. He gave up on politics due to the assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, who had encouraged him in politics.
