End of the Road for TDP and Janasena Alliance

YS Jagan was given a jolt of life in 2014 by the TDP-BJP-Janasena alliance. He was most likely to win the 2014 Andhra Pradesh elections. Despite this, the formidable alliance won only by a margin of 2 percent. From then on YS Jagan strategically worked to break the alliance between the three parties.

In order to push the Telegu Desam Party out of the NDA alliance, YS Jagan invoked the special category status issue. After TDP left the alliance, its downfall began. With that one move, TDP gave YS Jagan a golden opportunity to move closer to the BJP. To that extent, TDP had to face the wrath of the CBI and ED. This scuttled the funds for TDP and ultimately lost the 2019 elections.

YS Jagan is playing a similar game for the 2024 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections. At all costs, he wants to keep Janasena and BJP together and keep TDP out of the alliance. This kind of alliance will give the YSRCP an edge in the 2024 elections. In this context, Pawan Kalyan was manipulated to meet Modi and put an end to Jansenani’s thoughts about a three-party alliance for 2024.

Pawan Kalyan meeting the Prime Minister is almost the end of the road for the TDP and Jenasena alliance.
