Andhra Pradesh BJP President D. Purandeswari, also known as Chinnamma. Strongly criticized Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, accusing him of misgovernance and poor decision-making that has plunged the state into dire straits. Speaking at a party meeting in Vijayawada, Purandeswari lambasted Jagan for painting government offices with the colors of the YCP party, misusing funds, and accumulating a massive amount of loans, which have had detrimental effects on the state.
Emphasizing the upcoming Assembly elections, Purandeswari called upon party leaders to engage with the people and explain the unfulfilled promises made by Jagan and the assistance provided by the Central government. She highlighted the discontent among various sections of society, asserting that none of them are satisfied with Jagan’s governance.
Purandeswari also criticized Jagan for failing to bring the perpetrators of a rape case, which occurred near the Chief Minister’s residence, to justice. She expressed concern about the deteriorating law and order situation in the state and accused Jagan of betraying the volunteers who worked for him.
Highlighting the lack of development during Jagan’s four-year rule, Purandeswari pointed out that no new factories were established, and some existing industries were forced to shut down due to unfavorable policy decisions. She mentioned an instance where an investment opportunity was lost to the neighboring state of Tamil Nadu due to the troubles arising from policy changes.
Purandeswari further criticized Jagan for the poor construction quality of the Annamayya project in his hometown, Kadapa, and accused the state government of diverting funds meant for village development. She accused Jagan of mortgaging the state’s interests while the BJP-led NDA government at the Center continued to extend support to Andhra Pradesh.
