It’s been over 7 years since the Akkineni scion Akhil Akkineni made his grand screen debut with Akhil movie, but a big commercial hit is still eluding him. In fact, none from the Akkineni successors starting with Sumanth, Sushanth and Naga Chaitanya have attained stardom. Though Akhil has all the qualities to become a star hero, his story selection, long gap between the movies has hindered his rise.
The handsome hero who delivered an average hit with Most Eligible Bachelor has pinned all his hopes on the upcoming movie Agent. Directed by Surender Reddy, the movie has Malayalam Superstar Mammotty in an important role.
The grandiose project, has been in the works for quite some time and has had several delays. As per the latest update, the film has been postponed yet again and the ‘Agent’ team is currently considering a December 2022 release date.
The main causes of the delays are Akhil’s injuries. It is also alleged that the movie has undergone extensive script modifications as well as actor replacements.
