Tejawsi Surya’s hard-hitting speech at #ChangeHyderabad meet

KCR might have caught the opposition parties unawares when the state election commission announced elections for the local body. But looks like the BJP was totally prepared for any situation with regards to GHMC elections.

KCR has spoken belligerently about ‘Hyderabad conclave’ and ‘federal front’, while kick-starting his campaigning in Hyderabad. However, it looks like the BJP is one step ahead of KCR and his party. At least this is the impression that one gets from the rather powerful speech of Benguluru’s MP and National President of BJP Yuva Morcha, Tejaswi Surya.

To start off, he started his speech at #ChangeHyderabad meet, by raising slogans of Jai Shri Ram. Then he started by wishing the people of Bhagyanagar. It has to be noted that he did not mention Hyderabad here.

He then went on to say that Telangana and Andhra Pradesh had the best talent in the country and added that during his last visit to the US, he interacted with many doctors, engineers and contributors, all of whom were from Telangana and AP. He also stated that Telangana youth were the most dynamic and topped almost all top entrance examinations in the state.

Tejaswi Surya also praised the efforts of MoS Kishen Reddy in ensuring party’s success in Dubbaka. He had words of appreciation for state BJP president Bandi Sanjay and a few others.

While KCR harped on religious violence due to BJP, Tejaswi Surya picked on the ‘one family rule’ in Telangana. He said the entire state of Telangana was running for ‘one family’. Even during elections, it was KCR once, KTR once and in Hyderabad, it was Akbaruddin Owaisi and Asaduddin Owaisi – that was the mainstay.

The Bengaluru MP said that it was only BJP that spotted people with talent at grassroot levels and let ordinary sevaks rise to leadership level. “I was samanya vyakti just like you. But BJP allowed me to rise to this position,” he said.

“ChangeHyderabad is our slogan for today, tomorrow it will be for Telangana and day after, it will be for all of south India,” said Tejaswi Surya.

From the looks of it, it is clear that BJP has indeed taken the elections of GHMC seriously and is fully loaded to challenge TRS on its home turf.
