The Cyberabad police have formed a Special Striking Force with 200 plus men who are trained in combat and mob tackling skills, informs Cyberabad Police in their latest social media message. The special wing has taken inspiration from black cat commandos of National Security Guards (NSG).
The special force will have navy blue uniforms, head wraps and will be provided with anti-glare glasses and AK-47 rifles. The force that has undergone intensive training will be deployed during special occasions. Their speciality lies in mob-tackling skills and combat skills.
The man or rather the brain behind the elite force is Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar and he himself was inspired by the black cats, who guard the VVIPs and VIPs of the country.
Cyberabad police has different wings that include Grey Hounds, City Security Wing, City Armed Reserve and Rapid Action Force. However, a need was felt for a ‘striking force’ and this gave rise to the new wing.
The idea is to keep them on reserve for special occasions and visits of VIPs and VVIPs to the city. In near future, more recruitments will be made to make the Striking Force stronger. Thankfully, since Hyderabad does not have threat of terrorist activities, the intensive training programme included striking, combating and mob clearing, share Cyberabad police.
The training of this special force had begun two months back and the first batch was ready for GHMC elections. The team was picked from various branches of Cyberabad police, such as Grey Hounds, CAR, CSW and others. The selections were done by senior police officials.
