Study: India's life expectancy has been increased from 59.6 to 70.8 years

According to a recent study, the reports reveal that the average life expectancy of Indians has increased drastically over the last three decades. The life expectancy of Indians has increased from 59.6 years in 1990 to 70.8 years by 2019.

The average life expectancy in the state of Kerala in particular is 77.3 years, while in Uttar Pradesh it is 66.9 years. During these thirty years, the average life expectancy of Indians increased by ten years. As part of this, 286 causes of death, 369 diseases, and various types of injuries were studied in 200 countries. The study was recently published in the leading international journal, The Lancet.

The Indian Institute of Public Health, Gandhinagar who was involved in this research, said that despite the huge increase in life expectancy in our country, people are not able to live a healthy life. The latest report suggests that over the past thirty years, obesity, high sugar, and pollution have been the leading causes of death during corona.

The team of experts points out that India has made significant changes in the health sector in these 30 years. However, in states like Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, children are still suffering from severe health problems due to malnutrition.
