The visual spectacle Baahubali has created a phenomenon and expanded the universe of Indian cinema. The movie did not just make profits for the producers, but it increased the respect for south Indian cinema manifold.
With the massive success of Baahubali, several filmmakers tried to create the magic it created with historical, and period movies, but none could succeed. Vijay’s Puli which was released amidst huge expectations turned out a dud and most recently Prithviraj Chauhan and Shamshera too have turned into disasters.
However, the latest release Bimbisara, a socio-fantasy drama featuring Kalyan Ram has become a surprise hit and the makers are already in plans for the sequel. As per the sources, Kalyan Ram who is also the producer of the movie is planning to make the sequel on par with the magnum opus Baahubali.
The sequel will reveal the reasons for Bimbisara’s cruelty and how he tried to kill his brother Deva Dutta and how he escaped from death. It’s not sure whether the director will go with another project or direct the sequel to Bimbisara.
