Former MLA Gurnatha Reddy Rejoins YSRC

Anantapuram former MLA B Gurnatha Reddy today joined YSR Congress. He called on  party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy who is on Prajasakalpa Yatra in Srikakulam district. Jagan admitted him into the party by offering party kanduva.

Reddy left YSR Congress alleging he was being ignored in Anantapur Urban party affairs. The animosity between Reddy and YSR Congress went so far that his followers openly clashed with party leaders and smashed the chairs in the party office in the presence of Rajampet MP Mithun Reddy, who held the meeting.

The last straw was the admission of minority leader Nadim Ahmed with an offer of Anantpur Uraban constituency ticket. Peeved at these develpments Reddy left YSRC and joined TDP. But, efforts of YSRC to bring back Reddy who comes from a family with close links the YSR family met with suceess. Reddy met Jagan in November  and seems to have expressed his willingness to rejoin the party.

Today Gurnatha Reddy rejoined the YSR Congress and this is a real setback for Telugu Desam party which is trying to wean away Reddys from YSRC fold.
