YCP: Significant Blow As Former MLA Resigns!

The ruling party in Vizag, YCP, has encountered a significant setback with the resignation of former MLA Panchakarla Ramesh Babu. Media reports suggest that his decision to leave the party stems from his discontent with the ticket allocation issue in Pendurthi. Despite his attempts to address his concerns with the YCP high command, his efforts proved fruitless.

As the party’s district chief, Ramesh Babu had diligently worked alongside party workers to secure YCP’s victory in the previous elections. However, he expressed dissatisfaction with the leadership, stating that he was unable to address the grievances of party activists and effectively communicate them to Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. Ramesh Babu submitted his resignation from the YCP’s primary membership after being dissatisfied with his inability to live up to the expectations of his supporters and party members.

Ramesh Babu explained that his decision was not motivated by personal issues with any member of the party during a news conference. He also emphasized his respect and continued association with TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy, who is known to be Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s maternal uncle (babai) and had served as his mentor.

The mention of Subba Reddy’s name by Ramesh Babu has attracted attention, raising questions about any intended implications regarding the connection between Jagan and Subba Reddy. The episode surrounding Ramesh Babu’s resignation may hold deeper significance than initially perceived.

Further developments in this matter are yet to unfold, and it remains to be seen how this resignation will impact the YCP’s position in Vizag. The departure of a prominent leader like Ramesh Babu is undoubtedly a blow to the party, posing challenges for the YCP to address the concerns raised by its members and retain their support in the region.
