Tadepalli was highly upset with Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s recent party in New Delhi. Revanth Reddy hosted a conference for his colleagues in New Delhi subsequent to his resignation as an MP to assume the position of Chief Minister of Telangana. YCP chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was not informed that several YCP MPs, including K. Raghu Ramakrishna Raju, Bala Shouri, Magunta Srinivasula Reddy, Adala Prabhakar Reddy, and Niranjan Reddy from the Rajya Sabha, attended Revanth’s party. This led to conflict.
This unexpected attendance of YCP MPs at Revanth’s gathering irked Jagan, who is already feeling the pressure ahead of the 2024 elections due to the party’s uncertain prospects. Moreover, Revanth’s close ties with N. Chandrababu Naidu, Jagan’s rival from the TDP, added to the discomfort. Jagan was upset with the MPs for attending without informing him or the party leadership, questioning the message their presence conveyed to the public.
Adding to the tension, another YCP MP, V. Vijayasai Reddy, threw a party attended by party colleagues before they headed to Revanth’s place. Sources indicate that Jagan was briefed about this situation by his trusted aide Mithun Reddy. As for the aftermath of Revanth’s gathering, it remains to be seen if there will be any repercussions within the YCP due to the MPs’ attendance.
