Movie Artists Association (MAA) Elections were held yesterday. The polling held at Jubilee Hills Public School, Hyderabad witnessed record voting and the organisers were forced to extend the polling one hour to 3PM. The polling started at 8AM and Pawan kalyan became the first member to cast the vote. Balakrishna, Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan and others cast their votes. The counting started from 4PM and continued till 9PM.
It was a tough battle with leads changing each second and in the end Manchu Vishnu won the elections defeating Prakash Raj comfortably with over 120 votes. Madala Ravi, Raghu Babu, Siva Balaji, Gautam Raju won as the Vice President, General Secretary, Treasurer and Joint Secretary from Manchu Vishnu panel. Uttej, Bannerjee, Srikanth won as Joint Secretary, Vice President and Executive Vice President from Prakash Raj panel. Manchu Visnu was helped by cross voting in the polling to surprise Prakash Raj.
